Nix and Buckingham released “Buckingham Nix” shortly before joining Fleetwood Mac in 1974. It was a commercial failure, resulting in their label, polydore records, the pair from their contract. According to the album’s final official release discoggs, there was a 1981 vinyl pressing from Polydor, but the record has never been available on CD or digital, although bootlags have emerged over the years.

Now, premium vinyl record manufacturer Rhino High Fidelity Music is set to release a full album on 19 September, including fresh liner notes by journalist David Frike, including interviews with both Buckingham and Nick.

“(We) knew what we had as a pair, two lyricists who used to really sing well. And it was a very natural thing from the beginning.” Nix is stated in a Rhino press release. Buckingham said that the album “stands in a way, which you hope by these two children, who were too young to do that work.”

The Remastered album is now available to pre-order in a standard version and a deluxe version, including two 7-inch single, “Roing in the Night” and “Dont Late Me Down Again”. The standard version is limited to 5,000 copies, while the single is counted up to 2,000.

Rumors of a potential “Buckingham Nix” have been resumed. In 2011, Buckingham told Rolling Stone that the album “was a victim of inertia. It’s fun, I spent a lot of time with Stewi this year when she was finishing her album and we were getting great. We have every intention to bring back that album and possibly do anything with it, but I can’t do anything specific on it.”

Rhino dried the audio for remaster from the original analog master tape of the album, which was recorded at Sound City Studio in Los Angeles, not away from the billboard, which was announcing its long -awaited returns.
